My position on this theory has not changed since the beginning. When you weigh the evidence, the fact that the driver’s alcohol level was over three times the legal limit, he was driving at a high rate of speed and trying to evade the perusing paparazzi is much easier to believe that a nefarious plot by the Royal Family and British special forces to eliminate of the the most beloved members of their family ever. The claims that Mohamed al Fayed puts forth are not instantly discountable, but when you examine how much of it bases assumption on another assumption, its credibility falls apart. With toxicology reports proving the drunkenness of Henri Paul, ballistics reports showing the rate of speed the car was travelling and no physical evidence ever being found to prove foul play, it’s credibility dwarfs that of al Fayed’s claim that the Royal Family wanted to kill her because she MIGHT be marrying a Muslim eventually, and she MIGHT be pregnant with his child, and she MIGHT want to move to California with her children to live with her potential husband. Occam’s Razor would clearly be on the side of the drunk driver theory, since it contains very little assumptions while the assassination theory contains many. The only real evidence supporting the assassination theory is the speed of embalming, which the doctor apologized for, but claimed if didn’t know he was doing any wrong. The white paint from the Fiat could have easily been on the car from a collision unknown to the hotel, say in the parking lot by a careless valet. For these reasons, I still believe that Diana’s death was an accident, although one that could have been prevented if someone hired to drive could have just kept himself out of the bottle.

Princess Diana’s death was a well-crafted plot by the SAS, MI6 and the Royal Establishment, to spare the Royal Family the embarrassment of losing their heirs or having a Muslim marry into the family V S Henri Paul’s drunken driving causing the accident.
S – The death of Princess Diana was not an accident, but was a covert operation planned out by the SAS and MI6 under orders from the Royal Establishment, ostensibly to prevent the embarrassment of her leaving the country with her heirs, as well as bringing a Muslim into the family and giving birth to his child.
E – The eyewitness accounts of the cars and motorcycle are very suggestive of a covert operation. The idea of using a laser to blind the driver is a very believable claim, as even pocket laser pointers have been known to cause damage to the eyes. I’m fairly sure the military could come up a way to blind a man with a laser. Eyewitnesses also claim the man who used the laser inspected the crashed vehicle and used a British military signal meaning “Mission Compete.” The speed at which Diana’s body was illegally embalmed also adds credibility to the claim. In France, the law says that a family member must authorize embalming, and the procedure was performed with out any such permission. Mohamed al Fayed, the father of Dodi Fayed who was Diana’s boyfriend at the time, claims this was done to prevent a blood test showing her to be pregnant with his son’s baby. He claims the British Royal Family did not want a Muslim marrying into the family, and definitely didn’t want Diana having a baby with a Muslim man.
A – The most likely alternative explanation is that Diana’s death was caused by Henri Paul being incredibly drunk and driving at high speeds at night.Toxicology reports state that Paul had over three times the legal limit of alcohol in his blood, and ballistics reports show the car to have been moving at approximately 85mph. At this speed, it is very unlikely someone at that level of intoxication would be able to react fast enough to avoid a crash. Every official inquiry into the incident has come to this conclusion, although some also implicate the paparazzi as a secondary factor, attributing them to the high speed driving.
R/C/H – A lot of the case supporting the nefarious plot theory rely on assumption, even layering some assumptions on others, making them rely on 2 assumptions to be true. I feel a lot of the claims supporting the theory play on racist feelings, claiming the Royal Family wouldn’t want a Muslim in their family. While not wholly unbelievable, the multicultural diversity of England makes it very hard to just accept. Conversely, it is not at all hard to believe a man with over three times the legal limit of alcohol driving at high speed got into an accident. It’s a story you hear all too often, and a lack of solid evidence to the contrary makes this scenario very easily believable. Occam’s Razor leads me to believe that the drunk driver theory is the most likely truth.
Here are some points that show there is no conspiracy
- No physical evidence of a murder has been found
- Henri Paul was *very* drunk, according to his toxicology reports
- Official findings place the blame on Henri’s drunkenness, and the high-speed driving to escape paparazzi cars
- :Reuben Murrell, security officer at Mohamed Al Fayed’s Villa Windsor in Paris, resigned a year after the accident, claiming al Fayed was forcing him to lie to investigators by giving them false information that would support conspiracy claims
Several investigations have been made into the death of Diana, including a $7M joint British-French investigation which is the most expensive road accident investigation ever in France. All of these essentially come to the same conclusion, that Henri Paul’s intoxication and high speed driving were the cause of her death. According to his toxicology report, Paul was approximately three times the legal blood alcohol level for France.Further adding to the case that this was just a normal crash is Mohamed al Fayed’s security officer quitting, citing being told to lie to fuel conspiracy theory as his reason.
Here are some points that back up the claim that Diana’s death was a planned murder and not an accident:
- Diana’s body was embalmed the same day she died which is unusual
- White paint from a Fiat Uno was found on Diana’s car from a collision, but the Fiat was never found
- 3 vehicles were claimed to have been following her car into the tunnel: a black saloon car, white Fiat Uno and black super bike. An eyewitness claims to have seen a man get off the bike, look in the car, give a signal, then leave on the bike.
- Mohamed Al Fayed claims Diana was pregnant with his son’s baby and the Royal Family didn’t want a non-Christian baby in the family.
- It has been suggested that Diana planned to move away from England to California to marry and live with Dodi Fayed
- A flash of light was said to be shone from the motorcycle at the driver of Diana’s car, Henri Paul, to blind him temporarily, causing the crash
- The paparazzi the Establishment claims caused the crash did not reach the tunnel for almost a minute after the crash
- The car Diana was in had a decoy, which most of the paparazzi were at, except for a few, one of who took the last photo of her
As Diana’s car leaves the back of the Ritz, a reporter snaps a final photograph of her. The car races away, Henri Paul behind the wheel, desperate to escape the invasive paparazzi. As it moves onto the highway, 3 sets of lights move closer. As the car nears the tunnel where it will ultimately be destroyed, a black saloon car starts tailgating Diana’s car, forcing Henri to speed up. As the car moves into the tunnel, a White Fiat pulls up beside it, nudging it gently and allowing a black sports bike to pass it. The bike pulls in front of Diana’s car, a passenger on the back holding some kind of device. A bright white flash is emitted by the device, sending a beam of light particles at Henri Paul, blinding him. As Henri loses control, the car slams into a support column, killing Henri, Dodi Fayed, and Dodi’s bodyguard. Diana will succumb to her injuries in mere hours. As the Fiat and saloon speed off into the darkness, the bike stops near the crash. The man on the back gets off the motorcycle, peers inside the crashed sedan, gives a signal to the driver of the bike, remounts and they follow their comrades into the darkness. After the escape, the man on the bike calls his MI6 superior to inform him the Royal Family and Establishment no longer have to fear a non-christian member of the Royal Family, or the Heirs to the throne being taken to America.
